What I've Been Reading Lately

I like to keep my book reviews to just a few sentences. Below are a few books I've enjoyed reading lately.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
I loved the mix of storytelling and biology lesson. I picked it for our next book club since I think it will raise some interesting discussion.

Mudbound by Hilary Jordan
This was a fast read about two families, one black, one white living in Mississippi during the 40s. I can’t rave about it like my friends have, but I have to admit I had a hard time putting it down.

The Tudor Secret by C.W. Gortner
I love historical fiction and often feel a little burned out with the Tudors, but the twist in the story line kept it fresh for me.
